Tammy Tate, RN, MA, Clinical Counseling Psychology

Tammy Tate is a registered nurse with more than 40 years of experience specializing in women’s and children’s health. She also holds a master’s degree in Christian Counseling Psychology. In 2008, Tammy, alongside her husband and a local perinatologist, co-founded Perinatal Comfort Care -  a resource dedicated to supporting families who choose to continue their pregnancies following a life-limiting prenatal diagnosis. Through compassionate guidance, resources, and emotional support, Tammy has helped families honor and celebrate their much-loved baby’s life, no matter how brief.

Tammy is the author of Gift of a Lifetime, published by Focus on the Family. She still continues to use her personal and professional experience to comfort those navigating grief and loss. She and her husband, Terry, are both retired. They are active members of their local church, where they serve as leadership of the GriefShare ministry. They reside in Upstate South Carolina and enjoy spending time with their children, grandchildren, and two schnauzers, Ellie and Marlee.
